The stilt animation at a glance
The festival stilt animation by Jim & John from Berlin is a walking act for large areas: stilt walkers stay visible above the heads of visitors from a distance and therefore work where a stage act would be lost in the crowd. The act is booked for festivals and city celebrations, for exhibition grounds and company summer parties, and for receptions where guests arrive over a longer period. It runs one to five hours with breaks, spread across several sets rather than in one block, so the attention holds through the day. Setup takes around five minutes. It needs an open area with level ground — stilts require a firm surface, not a stage; indoors, at least four metres of ceiling height are needed.
